Hi, I'm Ben and thank you for visiting my page.

Originally from Leicestershire, a few years ago, I decided to up roots to follow a dream of living on the coast with a career at sea. 

Partner to Katie and a father of 2 beautiful children, I work on pilot boats as a full time job. I also do skippering work with local charter boats in Dover when time allows (you can find more information about this work in my other projects section).

But where does photography come into this?

I've always been appreciative of a good photo and for years I was armed with just my iPhone. Then in 2021 I decided to buy my 1st drone, a DJI Mini 2. I found myself learning about the world of aerial photography and image editing. From some of the shots I managed to capture on the Mini 2, I received some positive feedback through my social media channels, whilst finding inspiration and getting advice from other fellow photographers.

Then I felt it was time to buy my 1st DSLR camera, a Nikon D3500 and to start learning about photography.  So far, I'm pretty much self taught with bits of advice I've taken here and there. I have recently upgraded my drone to the DJI Mini 3 Pro.

I've throughly enjoyed all aspects of the journey so far, from getting outdoors to capture beautiful sunrises and sunsets in remote locations, where its just me and nature, to fine tuning settings on my camera hoping to achieve the best possible image I can. Completing the process with then sitting down on the laptop and sifting through what I have captured.
